Conveyor safety video available

The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) has updated its safety video, "Safety Guidelines for Unit Handling Conveyors."

The presentation outlines 12 recommendations for safer operation and maintenance of unit handling conveyors. Recommendations are dramatized in live-action vignettes presented by professional actors.

The safety presentation corresponds with the 12 panels on CEMA safety posters, which are available to download for free at www.cemanet.org. The posters, in turn, correspond with the graphics on CEMA's safety labels.

The labels, posters and videos, says CEMA, are designed to support a plant's comprehensive safety education program.

Copies of the 20-minute video are available at the CEMA online store. DVDs are $10 for CEMA members and $25 for nonmembers, with quantity discounts available.
