Online video offers “RFID 101”
The free video presentation from Avery Dennison provides a quick and painless way to learn the basics of RFID.

If you’re looking for a basic introduction to RFID technology, check out the new RFID 101 video from Avery Dennison. The presentation combines a live narrator with animations, photos and video to introduce concepts such as

RFID’s history and current applications,

Electronic Product Code (EPC),

the components of an RFID tag,
-
printers, readers and other RFID equipment, and
-
the many factors that affect system performance.
The video focuses on UHF RFID used to track cartons and pallets in the supply chain. It’s divided into sections, allowing you to watch the whole presentation from beginning to end, or to pick and choose the sections that interest you.
The video is mildly self-promotional (Avery Dennison is a major supplier of RFID inlays) but still provides a solid and objective introduction to RFID technology.
