Talking lean

Lean manufacturing. We all know what it is. Right? Well, maybe not all of us.

To help with that, the Lean Enterprise Institute has published a new edition of Lean Lexicon: A Graphical Glossary for Lean Thinkers. It features 167 lean terms from A3 report to Yamazumi and includes 56 illustrations.

It includes some new terms including capital ABC production analysis, nemawashi, obeya and tsurube. And if you already knew the meaning of those, you are more knowledgeable about lean than most.
