Supply chain execution software supplier HighJump Software recently announced plans to acquire Global Beverage Group (GBG), a provider of software for the direct-store-delivery of consumer packaged goods, including beverages and snack foods.
GBG software helps customers such as PepsiAmericas, Snapple Distributing and Sara Lee Baking focus on what HighJump calls “the last mile of delivery” by helping route drivers improve merchandising, delivery and reconciliation of routes.
“HighJump Software helps customers streamline supply chain operations from the original source of materials through final delivery to the end customer,” says HighJump CEO Joe Blauert. “We are extremely impressed with the level of control and visibility GBG provides at the point-of-consumption—an area of the supply chain that is often overlooked.”
This is the second complementary acquisition for HighJump, which acquired TMS provider Pinnacle Distribution Concepts in July.
