Pink pallet jack helps raise $800,000 to fight breast cancer
Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 6/1/2009
A pink pallet jack donated by Jungheinrich Lift Truck Corp. (www.jungheinrich-us.com) contributed to a successful 12th annual Richmond Race for the Cure, the Virginia affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer movement. The pallet jack, with a 3,000-pound capacity, was used to unload and transport equipment during the event, which was held in May and included over 9,400 participants.
"We wanted to give something back to the community and found that this cause is very close to the heart of many of our employees." said David Sarawesky, Jungheinrich planning manager.
