ProMat 2009: Vitronic presents VINTEC Award to Numina Group

At ProMat on Wednesday, Vitronic Machine Vision named The Numina Group this year's winner of its prestigious VINTEC award in recognition of outstanding advancements in automating order and product picking validation through the combined use of bar code and vision technology for the order fulfillment and warehouse distribution industry.

At ProMat on Wednesday, Vitronic Machine Vision (Booth 1775) named The Numina Group (Booth 4827) this year’s winner of its prestigious VINTEC award in recognition of outstanding advancements in automating order and product picking validation through the combined use of bar code and vision technology for the order fulfillment and warehouse distribution industry. Numina Group vastly improved picking efficiency and order accuracy for major distributors of electronics and consumer products. Other clients have achieved essentially 100% order integrity for case and case content validation with the Numina Group solutions based on Vitronic Camera Technology.

As a result of its ingenuity applying vision technology, facilities are able to process orders more rapidly, with virtually 100% accuracy, reducing delivery time and operational costs.
"This VINTEC award highlights the importance and impact automation has on the material handling industry," said Vitronic vice president Robert King. "Numina Group's impact significantly reduces costs and maximizes customer service."
An international panel of Vitronic engineers determine the winner based on a proven demonstration of ongoing success in providing automation concepts, delivery and commitment to serving the needs of materials handling; facilitation of the logistics process; and a solid record of achievement, management and leadership.
