Palletizer makers stack up gains

Business really has been humming for manufacturers of palletizers, depalletizers, and pallet unitizing machines. Shipments for 1998, the latest year for which data is now available, hit $333 million for a 6.1% hike over 1997. This year-to-year increase readily beats the industry-wide packaging machinery average annual percentage gain of only 2%, according to a recently released Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute study.
