Containers and bins withstand abuse

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 5/1/2004

Various new durable containers, bins and dollies were unveiled at NA 2004 by Buckhorn and Akro-Mils.

The newest addition to Buckhorn's line of durable packaging products is the Rotomolded Half-Bin. The bin's narrow profile of 48 × 25 × 26 inches makes it particularly ideal on automotive assembly lines. Injection-molded foam supports underneath the bin provide additional strength.

To transport these and other containers and bins, Akro-Mils now offers two styles of aluminum dollies that are corrosion resistant, lightweight and durable. The 1½-inch "lip up" design creates a contained area while the "lip down" design provides a flush surface for quick product loading and unloading.
