Univeyor (Booth 4512) put its LayerPicker in action at ProMat 2009 to demonstrate how the technology can streamline the flow of goods. The LayerPicker is a state-of-the-art solution for automatic depalletizing, descrambling and mixed palletizing, especially interesting for high-volume distributors.
The LayerPicker can pick up whole layers from pallets at top speeds and handle products of varying sizes, weights and shapes even if there are gaps in the layers. It has proven itself capable of handling more than 95% of all products that supermarkets and warehouses usually stock in their ranges. An efficient and economical solution, the LayerPicker eliminates several time-consuming manual processes. Additionally, stability and speed can be increased without negatively impacting safety or ergonomics.
Thorben Larsen, Univeyor product manager, said, "We simply put the machine on display at the exhibition so that people can find out for themselves how easy it is to empty and pack pallets fully automatically."
Univeyor also offers potential customers the option of renting and testing the LayerPicker at their facility. The test period demonstrates show how unique products can be lifted and handled.
