What are your options when it comes to using the Web to meet your conveyor needs? An informal survey of conveyor suppliers at the recent Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association meeting shows that it's easier to get information than buy.
Nearly all suppliers offer basic product information on their Web sites. And about 90% offer product and related information downloads from the Net. But only about 10% at this time offer end users the chance to buy conveyors and components on line.
Or as Greg Goodner, president of Hytrol said at the meeting, "it's still early to say e-commerce is a major force in conveyor purchases. But it's coming none the less."
