Swisslog returns as an equipment supplier

The global provider of integrated logistics solutions including supply chain software, Swisslog (www.swisslog.com), has purchased Accalon.

The global provider of integrated logistics solutions including supply chain software, Swisslog, has purchased Accalon. The Swedish company manufactures conveyors and storage/retrieval machines for automated storage systems. The move returns Swisslog to the list of materials handling equipment manufacturers, which it exited in recent years. In fact, Accalon was a part of Swisslog from 1994 to 2000 when a management buyout was executed.
