The Society is seeking nominations for Materials Handler of the Year, Materials Manager of the Year, and two other top honors.

Nominations are now open for the MHMS Achievement Awards. Biannually the Board of Directors of the Materials Handling and Management Society (MHMS) calls for nominations of individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of the materials handling and materials management professions. These individuals are selected from nominations received from the MHMS membership and from industry associates.
Nominations are now open for the following MHMS achievement awards:
Materials Handler of the Year: This honor is awarded to an individual deemed by the Society to be an outstanding materials handler.
Materials Manager of the Year: This award goes to an individual selected as the best materials manager of the year.
William T. Shirk Service Award: This honor is awarded to an individual chosen for his or her exceptional dedication and outstanding contributions to MHMS and the entire materials handling profession.
Donald Francis Achievement Award: This honor recognizes an individual for exceptional dedication and outstanding contributions to the field of materials handling on an international level.
These important MHMS individual achievement awards will be presented to the recipients at the prestigious Modern Materials HandlingProductivity Achievement Awards banquet in February 2001 in conjunction with the ProMat 2001 show and forum, which will take place in Chicago, Ill.
