Conveyors: Booked orders jump 25% from August

The September booked orders index went up 28 points, according to CEMA.

The September conveyor booked orders index jumped 25% from August, up 28 points to 141, according to the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association.

Compared to September 2007’s index of 225, it is a 37% decrease from last year. 

The twelve-month index for booked orders in September was 139, a 5% decrease from August. The billed sales (shipments) index was at 158, up 3% from August, and up 5% from September 2007.

There was no change in the twelve-month index for billed sales from August to September, holding steady at 148.
