Lift truck maker wins EPA award

Efforts to reduce waste in its lift truck manufacturing operations have earned Crown Equipment Corp. (www.crown.com) the Ohio Governor’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in environmental stewardship.

Crown, based in New Bremen, Ohio, is one of nine winners selected from 35 corporations, nonprofit organizations and state government agencies. Applicants were judged on several criteria, including a record of establishing and accomplishing environmentally minded goals.
