TranSystems | ESYNC combine supply chain expertise
Twelve months ago, ESYNC (Booth 1640) was a 60-person consulting company, with a focus on transportation and distribution and an expertise in supply chain software and automatic identification technologies.

Its client base was primarily domestic.
Since being acquired by TranSystems, the company’s reach and scope has expanded, according to John Hill, vice president of TranSystems|ESYNC, as the combined companies are known.
“We now have 1,300 consultants with a depth of knowledge beyond the areas ESYNC was focused on,” said Hill. “We are also now part of a global organization with $200 million in annual sales.”
Where ESYNC focused primarily on warehouses and distribution centers, Hill said the combined companies are also building bridges, airports and dormitories, consulting on the design, construction and operation of environmentally sustainable buildings and supply chains, and working with companies to re-optimize supply chains and transportation modes and lanes.
The combined companies portfolio of services covers four critical areas:
Real estate consulting, which includes strategic planning, location strategy, incentives negotiation and development advisory, fiscal analysis and feasibility analysis.Architectural, engineering and planning, which spans the public and private sectors for passenger and freight movement via land, sea and air for carriers, shippers and government.Management and supply chain consulting, beginning with tools to research, model and simulate supply chains, network and inventory optimization, operations assessment and facility design, and supply chain execution technology, including systems selection, integration and deployment.Security, which includes assessment tools, risk identification and mitigation, training and security systems implementation.
“Our goal is to become a one-stop shop for everything that moves through the supply chain,” added Randall Gibson, principal and vice president.
