Coming off a year when its business was up 20%, Speedrack Products Group Ltd. has just opened a new manufacturing facility in Quincy, Mich. The building's 340,000 square feet will double the company's manufacturing capacity, says Jim Johnson, president of Speedrack. The new plant, along with one in Hamilton, Ala., is expected to offer additional production flexibility with two powder coat lines and a robotic weld line. The company's Weirton, WV plant will remain open another year until its capacity is relocated.
"In addition to our state-of-the-art manufacturing technology, our new plant is located in the middle of some of the biggest distribution points in the Midwest," says Johnson.
