HK Systems sponsors Milwaukee robotics team

Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 3/1/2009

Committed to creating interest in the world of engineering, HK Systems (www.hksystems.com), a provider of automated materials handling and supply chain software solutions, will sponsor the 2009 For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) robotics team of Waukesha, Wisc., high school students.

“We believe that being involved in this organization is important to our community and to the future of engineering,” explains Curtis Doane, manager of controls technology for HK Systems. “These bright, motivated students are the future and we’re proud to help foster their interest and their education. They’re the ones we’ll be looking for after graduation.”

FIRST (www.usfirst.org) is a non-profit organization that inspires interest in science and technology in students around the world.
