Saving money and reducing costs just got easier for shippers with the addition of three new cost saving features into ADSI Shipper, a multi-carrier shipping solution from ADSI (Booth 5541).
One of the features provides automatic updates for UPS fuel surcharges. “With the price of gas continuously fluctuating, companies are not able to adjust quickly to take advantage of decreasing gas prices,” said Phil Terman, director of product services. “This feature updates the rates as soon as UPS releases the adjustments.”
Another feature is the automatic identification for residential or commercial addresses. This built-in intelligence allows companies to schedule routes more efficiently and realize the actual revenue without taking a loss due to inaccurate shipping rates, which can mean the difference between a profit or a loss on the shipped item.
Finally, ADSI has fully integrated the Automated Export System (AES), a new Federal Trade Regulation that went into effect July 2, 2008, into ADSI Shipper for companies shipping internationally. This feature helps shippers avoid fines of up to $10,000 if an AES is filed incorrectly or not filed at all.
“ADSI recognized the significance of AES for our customers and completely automated the process to eliminate filing errors,” Terman said.
