This month in Modern you’re seeing a few changes on the masthead that will ultimately result in an even deeper bench and broader market coverage. Let me run down a few details.
First, we welcome Lorie Rogers onto the Modern team as our new associate editor after more than seven years as an intrepid freelancer for the magazine. Many of you are familiar with Lorie’s news writing from her daily coverage at NA and ProMat over the years as well as her feature work in Modern’s annual Casebook. While her daily posts are already adding a “must read” dimension to mmh.com, her feature writing abilities will be put to work on our equipment-based articles and special reports.
Bob Trebilcock is practically synonymous with Modern. Over the past decade, Bob’s editorial guidance has helped put the magazine into the leadership position it now enjoys. For Bob, materials handling is literally in his DNA, while his passion for sharing productivity success stories in this market is without equal. You’ll now see Bob listed as Modern’s executive editor, a role that will find him more involved in story development and even more visible out in the market.
I’m also pleased to report we’ll be retaining Tom Andel’s unparalleled lift truck market insight for the pages of Modern. Tom is one of the best columnists Modern has ever work worked with, and next month he’ll bringing new life to our Lift Truck Tips as well as his popular blog on mmh.com.
I think you’ll yield the benefits of this new line up starting with this issue.
