Modular, expandable conveyor system

Offering improved carton control, quiet operation and low energy consumption, the modular conveyor system increases operational flexibility due to scalability and easy configuration changes. Conveyor modules are built on a universal side channel and include roller or belted straight sections, curves, inclines/declines, right angle transfers and steerable wheel diverters. The modules use common components so unique parts are minimized for easy maintenance. The system can also be retrofitted into an existing conveyor system. Configuration options include motorized rollers, standard AC drives or variable frequency drives. Dematic, 877-725-7500, www.dematic.us.

Motorized roller conveyor

The MR200 motorized roller conveyor provides 24-volt motorized rollers, zero-contact accumulation and a control module for straight-forward programming without additional tools. The system includes pre-programmed zone control options with an on-conveyor zero-contact and zero-pressure accumulation logic control that can be changed using simple switch settings. For additional customization, a zone director performs higher-level control actions with a built-in zone control. The conveyor features run-on-demand logic and all-electric configuration to increase energy savings. Integral wiring and hardware LED status indicators simplify diagnostics and troubleshooting. FKI Logistex, 877-935-4564, www.fkilogistex.com.

Dual zone accumulation

To control product flow and optimize throughput while reducing product damage, the IntelliQ dual-zone, minimal pressure accumulation conveyor sends signals to preceding zones when a product is stopped to prevent items from touching. The conveyor requires only two sensors and one control module in a 12-foot intermediate section for a reduction in energy usage, installation costs and maintenance. The unit is DIP-switch configurable, and line pressure accumulation density and throughput rate can be controlled. Intelligrated, 513-701-7300, www.intelligrated.com.

Powered rollers run quietly

Offering non-contact, zero-pressure accumulation, the 24-volt powered roller conveyor is quiet, safe and requires little maintenance. Configurable with a variety of components, curves, merges, transfers, inclines and declines, the system is modular and flexible. The conveyor operates at 65 decibels or lower—comparable to ambient office noise. Other features include run-on-demand functionality, enabling products to advance through a zone when sensed. Once the zone is cleared, the conveyor deactivates the zones not in use to generate energy savings of 20% to 40% over conventional conveyors. Precision zone control eliminates accumulation back pressures that cause product misalignment leading to jams and product or equipment damage. HK Systems, 800-424-7365, www.hksystems.com.
