MHPN Product of the Day: Heating add-on keeps operators warm in freezers

For use with the supplier's reach-fork trucks, the ThermaKit system enhances operator comfort in cold storage applications.

Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 10/19/2009

For use with the supplier’s reach-fork trucks, the ThermaKit system enhances operator comfort in cold storage applications. The system features a substantial padded and heated control handle that permits the operator to wear lighter gloves. It also includes a heated floor cushion that generates warmth to reduce frost buildup inside the operator’s compartment and keep feet warm. Thermostatic controls automatically cycle on and off, so operators experience steady warmth while operating in the freezer. The system automatically shuts off when the vehicle moves into other areas of the warehouse. Raymond, 607-656-2311, www.raymondcorp.com.
