Coding, packaging firms link

Videojet Systems International, Inc., Wood Dale, Ill., recently acquired Marsh Company of Belleville, Ill. Marsh Company will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Videojet, with Thomas G. Barnett continuing as president of Marsh Company. Barnett will report directly to Craig E. Bauer, president and CEO of Videojet.The two companies are significant players in their respective industries-Videojet in the small character coding equipment market, and Marsh in the large character marking and coding industry.
Last month, Triangle Plastics announced its acquisition of Tri-Enda Corporation and Bigelow Packaging, thus creating a comprehensive supplier of returnable packaging.
By combining the individual and wide variety of talents of the three companies, this new company represents a major source of materials handling solutions, according to Kenneth S. Reed, vice president, sales and marketing, for TriEnda.
