A new look

Visit the Modern Materials Handling Web site (www.mmh.com) and you'll notice a brand-new look. Modern Materials Handling Online has been redesigned to provide easier navigation and better access to the resources the site offers.

Modern Materials Handling Online now features a menu bar that stays on the screen at all times, allowing users to quickly get to any part of the site, without scrolling to the end of a page.

Much of the material on Modern Materials Handling Online is now more accessible. For instance, we've added a library of Warehouse of the Month articles as well as a library of Manufacturing Success Stories from the past year.

If you need help selecting a supplier for returnable containers, Modern Materials Handling Online can help. This month, Common Sense Handling columnist David Luton will answer user questions about vendor selection on our Discussion Forum. See page 39 for a sample of what Luton has to say on the topic. If you have further questions for Luton, just click on "Discussions" and follow the instructions.

Those of our readers who've visited our Scan Tech News Online site in the past also will notice something new this month. The name of the site is now ADC News & Solutions Online, reflecting the name change for the print magazine. Although the old URL, www.scantechnews.com, will get you to the new site, you'll want to bookmark it at its new address, www.adcnews.com, for faster access.

If you haven't visited in the past few weeks, you will also notice that ADC News & Solutions Online now features a section called Bloopers. In this online exclusive, ADC columnist Ivan Jeanblanc recounts (without naming names) some prime, real-life examples of mistakes made in implementing automatic data collection systems. Reading Bloopers will help you to avoid the costly errors others have made.
