The Material Handling & Management Society (MHMS) is very proud of the correspondence courses offered to all material handling professionals. These courses, designed by professionals in Canada, are administered by our Toronto Chapter. Offered for over 15 years, the courses are among the most popular offerings by MHMS to its members. Now, we are proud to introduce "Materials Handling Engineering-MM IV." This course has been written to complement the three previous courses. All four may be used as a basis for study or as a "refresher" when preparing to take the PCMH (Professional Certified Material Handling) certification exam. In addition, the MM IV course will enable the graduate to handle equipment specifications, facility layouts, and organization and project management.
Here are the 11 lesson topics for Materials Handling Engineering (MM IV):
- The role of materials handling and materials management in business and industry.
- Materials handling equipment.
- Systems control and integrated systems.
- Manufacturing and warehouse operation and control.
- Special materials handling operations.
- Health and safety, ergonomic and human factors.
- Industrial engineering methods and techniques.
- Warehouse and manufacturing systems layout planning.
- Project management.
- Contract administration.
- Financial management and cost control.
If you are professional involved in activities requiring knowledge within these areas-or if you own and run a business where your employees need this kind of education-then this course is a must.
After joining MHMS, you or your employee(s) will be eligible to take this or any of the other three correspondence courses offered by the Society.
