Chute is easy to install

The editors covered a number of innovative products and systems at press conferences and presentations held during the 1998 North American Material Handling Show and Forum in Detroit. The following is a sampling of what we saw.

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 6/1/1998

The industry has been asking for flexible and easily ass-embled spiral chutes, and the Flomaster Di-vision of Portec Inc., presented its answer at NA 98 with a re-design of its Chute-Master model. The company retained the profile shape to control product descent but added a square center pole to make on-site assembly quick and easy. Last-minute elevation adjustments during installation are accommodated by loosening the profile support clamps and repositioning to desired height.
