Scan-Tech '98 "powers up" for education, exhibits

Scan-Tech '98 will kick off at the Rosemont Convention Center on Monday, Sept. 14th in Rosemont, Ill. A variety of educational courses will be offered to assist end users in the understanding of automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) technologies and applications. Also on hand will be hundreds of exhibitors to display their latest and greatest systems and solutions.The in-depth educational program begins on Sunday, Sept. 13th. Two workshops, Guerrilla training for bar code beginners, and Riding the waves of RFID, begin at 9 a.m. and run through until 4:45 p.m. A third workshop, Planning & Designing your own ADC system, is offered from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. and again at 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.
A complement to the exhibit, a full schedule of seminars will run from Monday, Sept. 14th until the closing of the show floor exhibits on Wednesday, Sept. 16th.
The educational program provides an opportunity to end-users and value added resellers (VAR) to gain knowledge of data collection and information technology solutions that can make their organization more efficient.
