A web site is host to a new Java-based motor calculator that provides real-time motor specification information. Plant engineers and OEMs enter the desired motor horsepower and voltage into the calculator and immediately view properly sized conductors, short circuit protection devices, and motor controls on the web page. Tabbed menus allow users to input data for single-phase or three-phase motors. A help menu assists users with the calculator and answers frequently asked questions. The calculator web page is located at http://www.squared.com/motodata/calcmotor.html and can be accessed by any web browser that supports Java. Square D 704-375-0123
