Scanner senses targets

Here is some of the most recent product information in the area of totes, containers, and pallets that has crossed our editors' desks.

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 9/1/1998

Long-range fixed-field sensors recognize products anywhere in the sensor's range with no mechanical adjustment. Units can sense flat black objects at exact distances while ignoring highly reflective backgrounds only inches beyond the cutoff point. Encased in metal housings, these sensors are available in 5000, 1,000, and 2,000 mm maximum ranges.
