ProMat 99-key event for MHMS members

For more information on a local event in your area, call the chapter officer listed above.

By Bobbie Curtis -- Modern Materials Handling, 11/1/1998

Editor's note: Bobbie Curtis, Executive Director, points out the importance of ProMat 99 to members. The Materials Handling and Management Society (MHMS) is committed to providing opportunities for continuous professional development by helping to accelerate the knowledge flow and easing access to resources.

With that in mind, there is no better event to partner with, on a truly international scale, than ProMat 99 and the Education Forum sponsored by the Material Handling Institute. Not only can you attend the annual MHMS membership meeting and network with your peers, but you can also take advantage of this ProMat Forum and create a custom education plan that meets your needs.

Earn continuing education units by attending the educational sessions and sign up for sessions at a discount off the regular session prices using your MHMS membership identification number.

Given the combined scope of the Conference, with nearly 70 different educational sessions, and the Show, with more than 290,000 sq ft of exhibits, you become part of the industry's premier event and its leading educational experience-all at the same place and at the same time-in Chicago, February 8-11, 1999.

Look for more information in the coming weeks. In the meantime, visit our web site at www.mhia.org/mhms or call our offices at 704-676-1183 for more details on our annual meeting, the ProMat Forum, and how to register.

If you are not currently a member of MHMS, now is the time to join and take the next step in your professional development. Through MHMS, you can obtain professional certification, learn new business techniques, and take advantage of activities that boost your knowledge and abilities. In addition to the opportunities available through Society membership, you will find a wellspring of knowledge, experience and collective strength by networking through local chapter activities. Among other localized activities, MHMS chapters conduct plant tours and technical educational sessions. Contact the chapter in your area for more information.

We've made it convenient to join MHMS. Just print an application from the Web site, complete it, and fax it to us. Or, give us a call at 704-676-1183.

Begin making your plans today and give yourself the MHMS Advantage!

Professional Activities is the official publication of the Materials Handling & Management Society.
