With its short overall length, tight turning radius, and pneumatic tires, this compact truck can work handling and lift tasks indoors and outdoors. A high torque, low speed 2.0 liter gasoline or LPG industrial engine powers the truck in either the Nomad 50 or Nomad 30 models, for 5,000 and 3,000 lb capacities, providing fuel efficiency. This engine delivers quick acceleration, fast travel speeds, and increased gradeability over the manufacturer's previous models. The contoured counterweight and short rear overhang along with accurate back tire movement permit sharp turns.
Lifting speed is nearly 120 ft per minute, fully loaded, due to a hydraulic load sensing valve system. This unit redirects hydraulic pressure for maximizing lift speeds. A single lift/tilt control lever simplifies load handling.
Hydrostatic power steering translates to less operator effort required to guide the vehicle. An optional Optiview mast enhances the operator's view by opening the center line of vision for a clearer view of fork tips and load. Two lift cylinders are nested adjacent to the mast rails to achieve this added feature. Nissan Forklift
