Boeing earns award with MES

Boeing Airlift and Tanker (A&T) will receive the 1998 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for manufacturing.

The Boeing Company business unit was chosen to receive the Baldrige Award based on its demonstrated quality and business performance excellence.

The airlift and tanker unit uses a paperless manufacturing execution system (MES) in the making of its C-17 Globemaster III army airlift aircraft. The system is designed to streamline production with improved quality and business performance excellence.
