New welded-wire rack decking standard

A new welded-wire rack decking standard covers details of manufacture including the tolerances for the length, camber, and sweep of the reinforcing members (highlighted with color) in the decking.

Guidelines are spelled out for the design, testing, and utilization of welded-wire rack decking in a new standard. ANSI Standard MH 26.2, published by the Industrial Metal Containers section of the Material Handling Industry, specifically applies to uniformly loaded decking made from welded-wire mesh. This decking can be with or without permanently attached reinforcements. Stored materials may be on pallets, in containers, or in some other form.
