AGVs do what other systems can't

For your planning purposes: use our literature section to find the materials handling equipment or system that fits your needs.

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 5/15/1999

Heavy-payload automatic guided vehicles (AGVs) are built for applications where standard vehicle designs will not handle heavy-duty (HD) materials movement. Systems automatically transport loads up to 200,000 lb. Navigation technology provides a flexible guidepath design, using wire or laser guidance. Smaller systems are also available that can pick up and deliver loads to and from storage racks, conveyors, and other machines.
