Portable remote control systems (PRCs) for crane applications increase efficiency and reduce labor costs. Only one operator is required, unlike other systems that require an extra person on the floor to direct the crane operator. PRC users have an optimum view of the load while staying out of harm's way with no need to thread the pendant cord around equipment. Three PRC series are described, from a low-cost, off-the shelf unit to a high-tech design for harsh environments.
