A sealed precision ball bearing in the swivel raceway and two sealed precision ball bearings in the wheel reduce rolling and swivelling resistance while providing this caster with a 450 lb load capacity. For less demanding applications, economical double-ball raceway casters are available. Raceway bearings are permanently contained even if the caster is severely damaged. This prevents ball bearings from falling out during a caster failure and presenting a potential hazard for floor traffic.
