Learning how to justify handling projects

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 5/1/1999

Need to get up to speed on justifying a materials handling project? But you like to learn at your own pace? Consider investing in a new, self-paced training and correspondence program in a CD-ROM format for PC.

This introductory course is designed for beginning level professionals and is available from the Material Handling Institute.

MHI says the CD-ROM program is easy to use and is interactive. There are six training modules with an instructor led audio track, sharp graphics, and easy-to-use navigation tools. Students will be stepped through a range of issues: From introductory concepts to comparing alternatives; from the impact of depreciation, taxes, and inflation to the role of activity-based costing.

The program is offered at an introductory price of $195 (MHMS member discount price is $175). Contact MHI in Charlotte, N.C. at 704-676-1190; MHMS members please call 704-676-1184.
