Simplify storage and handling of cumbersome loads

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 5/1/1999

A stacking cradle system simplifies the storage and handling of long, thin, or heavy materials. Used with an overhead crane, custom-designed cradles and spreader beams provide versatile placement and maneuvering of the most cumbersome loads. The interlocking design allows maximum storage density and stack height to create more floorspace. Because materials are stored in their lifting cradles, storage and retrieval time is reduced. Cradles can handle long items, large semi-finished or finished products, plates and sheets, and coils and rolls.
