Powered monorail systems

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 5/1/1999

Electric monorail systems (EMS) allow seamless integration into new and existing operations. Carriers can be designed for active or passive loading, hoisting, and picking applications. Well-proven modular components allow the handling of loads up to 10,000 kg, and, in the case of specially designed components, up to 20,000 kg. Tracks can be routed through switchpoints and turntables, even allowing level differences by means of drop or inclined sections up to 60 deg. Pallet transport systems and light transport systems are also available.
