Computerized crane inspection

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 7/1/1999

A computerized crane inspection program provides crane inspections that comply with both OSHA and ISO 9000 requirements. The system inspects all vital aspects of the crane, assigning a sliding scale value of 1 through 10, and tracks the long term performance of all important components. Because the system tracks the progress of components wearing out, maintenance and repairs can be undertaken at a time convenient to production, rather than on an emergency basis.
