Speed reducers are maintenance-free

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 8/1/1999

Factory-filled with synthetic lubricant and sealed for life, these worm-gear speed reducers have a neoprene diaphragm that is designed to keep internal pressure constant while preventing leaks and cross-contamination between reducer and atmosphere.

Lightweight, compact, and with an all-aluminum design, the reducers resist rust and corrosion. According to the manufacturer, they require no relubrication or maintenance for the life of the unit.
