Students receive materials handling award
Gibson grabs MMH/St. Onge award

Twenty-two year old Derek Gibson, an industrial engineering senior at the University of Arkansas, is the 1999-2000 Modern Materials Handling/St. Onge Company honor scholarship award winner.Gibson maintains a 3.7 grade point average and is also on the engineering dean's honor list and is a member of several student organizations.
"It's fascinating for me to see all the components in a manufacturing system work together," says Gibson about his course of study.
He has twice received the Kappa Sigma Fraternity's National Out-standing Scholarship/leadership award, and is a three-time winner of the Kappa Sigma academic achievement award.
After graduation in December, Gibson will begin a double Masters program at the University of Tennessee in fall of 2000.
