Reducing workplace injuries

Workplace safety compliance does not always ensure a safe workplace. Indeed, the research behind the SafeStart program shows that much current safety training is ineffective in reducing accidents because it does not change employee behavior. Going beyond traditional safety training, the program helps employees make the crucial connections between mental/physical states and the patterns of error that lead to accidents. The training kit includes five videotapes, workbooks, reminder cards, a leader's guide, and two posters.
