CCD bar code reader is lightweight

This low-cost, lightweight, modular CCD camera provides up to 10,000 reads/sec. It is able to decode bar code labels that are damaged or dirty. Profiling software makes it possible to read six sides of a parcel using just five cameras, making high-speed CCD tunnels a reality for parcel sorting, retail/ wholesale distribution, and mail order distribution. The unit reads both linear and two-dimensional symbols omni-directionally at conveyor speeds up to 600 ft/min. The ability to read optical character recognition symbols on parcels is also standard.
