Innovative design of wire rope hoists

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 1/1/2000

A new design utilizes advanced features and materials while retaining the quality and design features of current hoists. The New Century Series wire rope hoists highlights an overload cutoff which protects the load, hoist, and operator by interrupting operation when the presence of a damaging overload is detected. A brake-sensing microswitch prevents the motor from operating against the engaged brake. Controls meet NEC standards. A U.S. manufactured motor and Class F insulation are also featured. Controls for optional features include mechanical load brake, gear train, bearings-spider retainers, wire rope, and load block-hook.
