B2B launch for build-to-order products

SupplierMarket.com has launched an Internet marketplace for the buying and selling of build-to-order, industrial manufactured products.SupplierMarket.com's SmartMatch system for business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce evaluates the potential suppliers based on their ability to satisfy key technical criteria needed to fill the buyer's order specifications. Buyers then have a chance to evaluate any bids that are filed by the companies nominated for the order. In addition, other suppliers that are part of SupplierMarket.com can nominate themselves and bid.
"We have over 6,000 suppliers and buyers already registered," said Holly Allison of SupplierMarket.com.
At the end of a preset bidding period, the potential buyer can then evaluate the proposals and decide if they want to make the purchase. On-line bulletin boards allow potential suppliers and buyers to communicate with each other to obtain additional details as needed.
