EXE completes purchase of AllPoints

EXE Technologies, Dallas Texas, a provider of supply chain execution software, has completed the acquisition of AllPoints Systems, Inc. The Norwood, Mass., company provides demand chain solutions.

EXE made the purchase to extend its presence in high-volume, piece-pick, and parcel environments such as catalog, general merchandise, apparel, consumer electronics, and e-commerce.

"We see an opportunity with AllPoints' innovative technology to broaden our fulfillment functionality and accelerate the extension of our process management capabilities beyond the four walls of fulfillment centers," says Ray Hood, president and chief executive officer of EXE.

AllPoints' primary product is the GlassPipeline, an advanced supply chain event management software package. It is already used at 30 companies including DaimlerChrysler and drugstore.com.
