The latest developments in packaging

It's time once again to look to the South for the most recent packaging innovations. Atlanta, Ga. will be home to SouthPack 2001, the largest and most comprehensive packaging event in the South, April 24-26.
This biennial event, held at the Georgia World Congress Center, promises to help attendees enhance productivity and reduce labor costs while improving packaging quality. The latest materials, containers, and packages will be on display alongside hands-on demonstrations of packaging equipment.
In conjunction with the show, there will be an educational program organized by groups such as the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) and Women in Packaging (WP).
Topics include "Market enhancement through package design and distribution technology," with Scott Whiteside, Ph.D. Clemson University; "Packaging shipping in the Internet age," with Tom Schneider, CPP, president, Packaging Technology Center; and "Emerging trends and new technologies you can use," with moderator Mike Kelley, CPP, managing partner, IoPP.
Exhibit hall hours on Tues. and Wed. are 10 a.m. to 5
p.m. and on Thurs. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
