By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 4/1/2000
Over 400 exhibitors will gather this month to display their productivity solutions to an estimated 30,000 industry professionals at the North American Materials Hand-ling Show and Forum 2000. The four-day event, scheduled from April 10-13 in Detroit' s Cobo Hall, promises to be a comprehensive showcase of materials handling equipment, systems, and technologies. Exhibit hall hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. April 10-12 and 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on April 13.
An educational forum, co-sponsored by the Material Handling Institute and the Materials Handling and Management Society, will run concurrently with the show and will focus on improving productivity in the areas of manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution. More than 100 speakers, including end users, will teach, train, and answer questions during 60 educational sessions to help you discover ways to make your operations more productive, your work areas safer, your customers satisfied, and your business more profitable.
Be sure to catch this year' s keynote speaker, Homer Dunn, chairman and founder of onstop Solutions in California. Scheduled for Tuesday, April 11 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m, his keynote will cover "'Demand chain optimization: When best practice isn' t good enough." He will share his success in moving beyond supply chain management and challenge you and your company to question "best practices" and cross the same boundaries as he has already.
On-site registration for the show is $25. For more information, call 800-345-1815 or e-mail MHIA at cmiller@mhia.org .
