New entry in electric drives

Joseph Industries, world-wide distributor of industrial aftermarket and original equipment parts for forklifts, is entering the electric lift truck drive-line supply business. Market entry will be in steps beginning with the current availability of contacts and contactors for electric lift trucks. Controls, motors, and their respective parts and services will be offered later this year.

"Analysis of equipment purchase trends, existing lift truck populations and pending off-road air quality legislation makes it imperative that Joseph participates in the aftermarket for supply of reman drive units, overhaul kits, electric motors, controllers, and contacts," says Charlie Higgins, manager of business development and marketing.
