awp expands production capacity

Several new pieces of machinery and equipment will be installed at awp industries, Inc.'s Frankfort, Ky. manufacturing facility. The equipment will increase the company's wire mesh fabrication production capacity by 60%. The equipment, including a new mesh welding plant and automated multi-channel welder, will also enhance all aspects of production.

The company's product lines that will see immediate increase in production include: folding wire mesh containers; rigid wire mesh containers, and wire mesh rack decking in particular.

"The new machinery will make it possible for us to maintain larger stock inventories of our wire mesh products, allowing us to better serve all our customers with enhanced flexibility, reduced lead times, and greater responsiveness," says Craig Chamberlin, president at awp.
